DO YOU HAVE EXCELLENT LEADERSHIP SKILLS TO HELP MAINTAIN OUR OUTSTANDING DESIGNATION?

The Board of Trustees is seeking a talented individual to join our Greet Leadership Group as Deputy Head Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and outstanding teacher with a proven track record of impact on pupils’ achievement, to provide whole school leadership.

The post has become available as the result of the promotion of our current DHT to the new role of Head of School.

Greet is moving into a new period of leadership with a further Strategic Head of Improvement and Learning to be appointed by the Trust and a vision for the three leadership post holders to be working collaboratively for the school’s optimum success.

Greet is four-form entry, serving 918 pupils in Sparkhill. It has a very strong team-ethic and its pupils achieve well, making good and outstanding progress from a low baseline.

There is always more to accomplish; we are relentless in our quest to continually improve on our previous best.

Could you work in collaboration with the Head of School and the Trust to support the vision, direction and leadership of the school?

You will have a proven record of:

Providing consistently excellent classroom provision resulting in high levels of pupil enjoyment and progress in at least two Key Stages

• Dedication to influencing and leading high quality teaching and learning

• Identifying, implementing and sustaining school improvement priorities and strategies

• Leading by example, embedding excellent practice and committed to meeting the learning needs of all children

• Understanding of operational systems across a complex site

You will be:

• Skilled in contributing to and implementing strategic direction and operational management

Able to demonstrate the character and ambition to work in close partnership with all stakeholders

• An outstanding practitioner who can lead by example and support the further development of our committed team

• Self-motivated and dynamic with the ability to provide both challenge and support for colleagues and pupils

• Skilled in leading initiatives to meet curricular expectations

The specific brief will be dependent upon the individual strengths and competencies of the successful candidate.

Create Partnership Trust was formed in September 2016 by Greet Primary School and Conway Primary School. They were joined in January 2017 by Hodge Hill Primary School and November 2018 by Brookfields Primary School. Greet Teaching School is the fifth partner in the MAT. All are supported by CREATE CENTRAL, a growing team of specialists building the MAT’s infrastructure.

The vision for Create Partnership Trust encompasses the growth of an inspirational family of schools, built on a peer support and challenge model, so that barriers to optimum achievement are removed and where effective practice is systematically shared.

Closing Date: 02/04/2019, 09:00

There is a clear vision which is ensuring that the Council is working for communities today and building for tomorrow, we focus our resources on five key priorities:

  • A Prosperous Birmingham: through a focus on inclusive economic growth, tackling unemployment, attracting inward investment, and maximising the benefits of the Commonwealth Games.
