Tourist Information Volunteer
Malvern Hills District Council is a small, progressive local authority, situated in one of the country's most attractive areas, offering excellent local visitor attractions and a high quality of life.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers with great knowledge of the area to join our experienced team at Malvern Hills Tourist Information Centre (TIC) in Great Malvern.
As a volunteer at Malvern TIC, we are looking for you to assist in providing a tourist information service for visitors and local residents and to represent and promote the Malverns in a positive way.
The volunteer hours will be agreed on a weekly basis. Typical opening hours are 10am – 5pm Monday to Saturday, and occasional Sunday opening in the summer season and to cover key events.
We are looking for flexible and reliable volunteers with good knowledge of the local area to join our team. You will need to be reliable, flexible and trustworthy and have a friendly and approachable manner.
- The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
- Great customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
*Once your application has been received, your suitability for the post will be assessed and you will be invited to a short interview. Interviews will take place at mutually convenient times and will be held at Malvern Tourist Information Centre, or the Council House, Malvern.
