Building Surveyor Trainee (Career Graded)

We are currently recruiting for;
A Building Surveyor Trainee to work within our capital projects department, assisting with the delivering major planned works.
The role will involve assisting the team to carry out surveys, producing specifications, tendering documents and then managing construction projects.
This posted is a graded post with three levels:
Level 1 – Student Building Surveyor (£19,945 - £21,166 per annum)
Level 2 – Graduate Surveyor (£26,999 - £28,785 per annum)
Level 3 – Building Surveyor (£29,636 - £31,371)
Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council will also look to support the successful candidate through the completion of their degree course, with flexible working around the course.
This role can be part of a placement year or can also be suitable for a graduate surveyor.
You should have;
Good organisational and communication skills, in both written and oral.
Theoretical knowledge of how to specify and create drawings for minor planned or reactive maintenance works.
General knowledge of Building Pathology.
As a key member of the Capital Projects department there will be liaison with external contractors, clients and other key parties to deliver the major works programme.
It is essential that candidates are able to drive and have the use of a car and be physically able to carry out site visits, climb ladders and scaffolds, etc. as required.
