The Role

20.0 Hours per Week

We are seeking a Deputy Manager for our Before and After School Club (BASC) from 29th April 2019, providing wraparound care outside of school hours for up to 24 pupils aged 4-7 years old (from our Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 classes).

You will be required to work 7.45a.m-8.50a.m and from 2.50pm-5.45pm, within a team of 3 staff, Monday to Friday term time plus 5 additional training days.

Some additional hours may be available as a teaching assistant (within school hours) for the right candidate.

Key Requirements

The successful applicant will enjoy working with children and be skilled in leading a wide variety of positive play experiences in a relaxed, safe and well regarded environment within the grounds of Bilton Infant School in Rugby.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic with high standards of supervision, organisation and food hygiene. They should have NVQ L2 or 3 in childcare (or equivalent). 

They should have previously worked with children in a professional child care or school setting, enabling delivery of appropriate, engaging, planned activities.

They will understand the importance of childcare standards, customer service and be courteous and positive in their dealings with children, parents and colleagues.
