REABLEMENT OFFICER (3 POSTS)

Walsall Council is looking to recruit to Reablement Officer posts to complement existing teams as we begin to transform Provider Services in Adult Social Care into an All Age Disability selection of approaches, with emphasis on empowerment, independence and maximising opportunities for ordinary life. Therefore, applicants should be flexible and willing to meet the changing needs of the service and local people.
Applicants should have the ability to motivate and inspire others utilising a person centred approach that is proportionate and promotes positive experiences for young people from the age of 14 plus who may have a range of disabilities, ASD and are potentially requiring time limited support or building based offers in order for them to remain as independent and engaged in ordinary life le and as part of their locally inclusive community .Applicants should also have experience / awareness of a range of disabilities which would include Autism, Physical Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Mental ill health deterioration. There is also a need to be resilient Pro- active and innovative in your approach when supporting day today needs as well as active engagement and input into the delivery of the Walsall Proud Programme.
