Learning Support Assistant Level 2

Scale point 16-21; Salary: £18319.00 - £20541.00 per annum

                                          (pro rata to hours worked; Term time only)

Part-time Fixed Term Contract: to start as soon as all recruitment procedures are completed.

This post is for a named child and the contract duration is dependent on the child completing their KS2 education, which is expected to be July 2021.

Monday – Friday 9.00am – 12 noon.
Location: Palfrey Junior School

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil with hearing impairment. Skills in Makaton would be advantageous.

This position is for 1:1 support for a named child, support in class, delivery of speech and language, pre-teaching, social skills and reading interventions.

We are looking for someone who has the following:

• NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification
• Practical knowledge of group work and interventions
• High expectations of learning behaviour
• An ability to enable pupils to achieve their potentials
