Job Details
A vacancy has arisen for a Housing & Wellbeing Strategy Officer.
Working alongside another Housing & Wellbeing Strategy Officer and an Assistant, your key responsibilities will include assisting with the development, maintenance and delivery of the Council’s housing and wellbeing related strategies and policies, assessing housing need, enabling new affordable housing and liaising with a wide range of partners. You will also monitor contracts to deliver the Housing Assistance Policy.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to write reports, policies and strategies are essential. You will have experience of working in housing or a related field, developing and monitoring contracts and/or service level agreements and building and developing relationships with partners in a multi-agency environment.
You will have a broad knowledge of housing issues, particularly in relation to affordable housing and homelessness, as well as knowledge of the delivery of Disabled Facilities Grants. Membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing would be advantageous,
