Job Details

Woodhouse Primary Academy is situated in the West Birmingham suburb of Quinton. Opened in 1931 as a maintained primary school, it achieved academy status in September 2013 under the umbrella of the University of Wolverhampton Multi Academy Trust (UWMAT).

The two-form entry academy currently has 455 pupils on roll from Nursery to Year 6. Our academy community is very diverse and closely reflects the demographic population of Birmingham.

The academy was last inspected in July 2015 and achieved an OFSTED Good grading, with Behaviour and Safety graded as Outstanding.

The Orchards Primary Academy, located in the centre of a new development in Northfield, opened on 1 July 2013. As a one-form entry Primary Academy with a Pre-School and a part-time Nursery, we are able to nurture and support children from a young age until the end of their primary education.

The future for The Orchards is very exciting. In March 2015 we were judged as a Good school by Ofsted, we are now striving towards our school becoming Outstanding. We are included in the Primary School Rebuild Programme Phase 2 and planning for our new building has begun.

Job description

Company

Greenheart Learning Partnership (GLP) is proud to be an academies sponsor.

We are accredited as a sponsor by the DfE in recognition of our drive, expertise and capacity, as well as the experience we bring from a wide variety of backgrounds and sectors.

We operate as a Partnership. We have twelve schools within the Partnership already converted to academies, ten primary and two secondary.

We have many more schools interested in working with us and our aim is to create a Partnership Family of around 20-25 schools. This will establish a network of schools working collaboratively on supportive, rigorous and sustainable approaches to school improvement.

Greenheart is drawing upon our experience and track record of school improvement developed over the last 16 years since the formation of BCCSIP (Black Country Children’s Services Improvement Partnership).  The expertise we developed through running the recent highly successful Black Country Challenge programme also underpins our activity.  We have an excellent knowledge of our locality and a proven track record of making a difference for schools.

Our Approach:

Our structured development and improvement process is built on the results we have achieved in education over the last 15 years. Each academy within the Partnership commits to a core programme, including an initial audit process which helps to build a bespoke action plan to address school performance and improve the life chances of pupils.
