Mobile Relief Cleaners (3 x posts) – Ref RT45518

Salary description- £8.54- £8.93 per hour (Pay Award Pending)

This post qualifies for the Living Wage. The Council is committed to paying the Living Wage which is currently £8.75 per hour. This arrangement will be reviewed annually.

These posts are required to cover the Walsall Borough.

We require hardworking, reliable, enthusiastic and motivated Mobile relief Cleaners- in return, we offer excellent pay (including casual car mileage allowance) and holiday entitlements.

Cleaning Schools, Libraries, Children’s Centre’s and Civic Premises.
The post comprises of 15 hours per week – 39 weeks per year
Start time: 3.00pm- operating a working pattern Monday to Friday

Previous cleaning experience is essential but further training will be given.  The ability to work as part of a team is essential. Duties will include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing, emptying bins, cleaning toilets and kitchen areas and any other associated tasks. 

The ability to travel around the borough is also required. A full driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential. Casual mileage allowance will be paid.

Walsall Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Completion of a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check may be a requirement of this post.
