Warwick Nursery School is a popular Maintained Nursery School for 2-4 year olds. We are looking for a hardworking, committed cleaner, who will also be required to do caretaking duties, to join our friendly team. You will be responsible for keeping the buildings and grounds clean, well maintained and secure. 
Experience in a similar role would be desirable, but full training will be available. 
We can offer supportive induction and on-going professional development at Warwick Nursery School which has a friendly, caring and supportive ethos. 

We warmly welcome visits from prospective candidates. 
This position is for 25 hours a week. Job share is possible (every morning or every afternoon) 
You will work 52 weeks a year with holidays to be taken during school holidays. 
During term time you will work split shifts 6.30-8.30am and 3.45-6.45pm (Monday to Friday). Hours in school holidays during closure will be negotiated with the Headteacher dependent on cleaning needs and use of building. 
Position requires some lone working. 
Experience in a similar role would be desirable, but full training will be available.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will: 
• Be able to clean specified areas thoroughly within the nursery in accordance with the nursery school’s standards and requirements. 
• Display a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils through day to day vigilance and a positive approach to working. 
• Be aware of and understand the Authority’s regulations, e.g. Health, Safety & Wellbeing and COSHH guidelines 
• Be able to carry out procedures, routines and follow instructions. 
• Work effectively with all staff members on a day to day basis. 
• Be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in order to report premises issues. 
• Be willing to attend statutory training as required. 
• Be able to be self motivated and to work alone on site 
• Solve straightforward problems, respond to unforeseen circumstances (eg hazards, accidents etc).
