The Head of Community Partnerships role is an exciting opportunity to join the Birmingham City Council Programme for the Commonwealth Games. The role is responsible for the coordination and operational planning and delivery from a Birmingham City Council perspective of all Commonwealth Games legacy agenda and community engagement programme.

This will include a wide range of activity ranging from coordinating our communications and engagement with staff, politicians and members of the public, to coordinating our collaboration with community and partnership organisations including the Government, Organising Committee, West Midlands Combined Authority, other Local Authorities, third sector organisations and community groups. Specifically, this role will work closely with their peers in the Games partner organisations to ensure collectively, the legacy objectives of the Games are met.

The role will be responsible for ensuring that Birmingham City Council achieves its Legacy ambitions for the Commonwealth Games, both for the Councils Strategic Plan, and the wider Games legacy vision, mission and outcomes. The role with further ensure that Birmingham City Council has the appropriate plans in place to ensure as an organisation we deliver the city council’s legacy objectives relating to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, at all times focused on ensuring that the benefits of hosting the Games are maximised for the citizens of Birmingham and beyond.
