Post: Teaching Assistant for 1:1 support

Salary: £6020 - £6389 per annum

Contract: Grade 1 TA1 scale 1. Term time only + 5 TED days

Hours of work: Morning only 9.00am-12.00pm 15 hrs per week

Start Date: 1st September 2019

The Governors and staff of our small, popular village church school are seeking to appoint a Grade 1 Teaching Assistant to work as a 1:1 support for a child with learning needs in our EYFS class for September 2019. The role will be part time term time only: 15 hours per week (9.00am – 12pm). The role will meet the needs for the child’s Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) and will be a temporary post to Easter 2020 in the first instance.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of supporting children within the primary age range/school setting
  • Have experience/interest in working with children with specific and/or learning needs
  • Have high expectations for our children’s progress and overall achievement
  • Take an imaginative and creative approach to curriculum learning that captures the children’s interest
  • Be flexible, forward thinking, innovative and highly energetic
  • Have an understanding of how children learn, including social/emotional development.
  • Have a passion for quality teaching and learning, enabling the best outcomes for our children.
  • Be able to work well as part of our whole school team and school community
  • Support our Christian ethos as a church school
