Part-time and Full-time Leisure Attendant / Lifeguard required
G4 £18,145- £20,338 per annum (pay award pending)
Walsall Gala Swimming and Fitness Centre – 19.5 hours per week
Oak Park Active Living Centre – 37 hours per week (2 x Posts)
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed leisure professionals to join our team to help us achieve our goal of More People, More Active, More Often.
You will be responsible for the presentation and delivery of all services within our leisure centres and ensuring a quality service, the safety of customers, staff and others and to perform lifeguarding duties as required.
The successful candidates must have experience in a front-line customer service environment and hold an STA, RLSS/NARS Pool Lifeguarding qualification (or equivalent).
Walsall Council takes seriously the responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all the children, young people and adults entrusted to our care and it is our expectation that all staff will share this commitment. Completion of an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check is a requirement for this role.
BPSS statement for adverts - For this role the successful candidates must undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check. BPSS is the minimum standard to ensure the identity and integrity of an employee who has access to official information using secure networks linking central government and local authorities. A BPSS check involves four main elements; Identity Check, National and Immigration Status, Employment History (last 3 years) and Verification of Criminal Record (unspent convictions only).
Working rotating shifts including evenings and weekends.
