We are seeking to recruit a new, enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Head Teacher. The successful candidate will join the SLT who see the learning needs of the individual as a priority.

The successful candidate will have expertise in the leading of teaching and learning of pupils with complex, severe and moderate learning difficulties and have previous experience of working at a middle or senior leadership level.

The post will include: Whole school behaviour lead, shared responsibility for the quality of teaching and learning across the school, working closely with departmental leads to improve standards and conducting performance management alongside SLT. In addition, the successful candidate will undertake the role of Designated Teacher for Looked After Children.

Kemball School is a purpose built special school located in Blurton, catering for pupils with cognition and learning needs (PMLD, SLD, MLD). There are currently 208 pupils on role aged 3-19. The school specialises in supporting complex physical and medical requirements for individual pupils who have these additional needs. Visits to the school are strongly encouraged.
