Maternity Cover. Receptionist - 32.5 hours / week, Term Time Only

Grade 2 (£18,065 p.a. pro-rata. Actual Salary £13223 p.a)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist for our school to join the support staff team at St. Kenelm's CE Primary to cover for a period of Maternity Leave.

The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to successfully respond to face-to-face enquiries from parents, as well as undertaking the typing of letters and other correspondence (to include the school newsletter). In addition, you will be involved in the booking of transport for school trips, administering the school milk system and contacting parents when required (for example to advise them if their child is unwell).

Previous experience of SIMS would be useful, but not essential as training is provided. this computerised system will be utilised extensively by the successful applicant (to record contact details of parents, pupils and staff as well as the administration relating to the school register and attendance).

The successful candidate will have an excellent telephone manner and possess good numeracy and literacy skills as they will be required to communicate with a variety of school stakeholders, to include staff, parents, pupils and visitors.

Previous use of e-mail is essential as the postholder will be the main administrator for the primary e-mail account used by the school.

it is envisaged that this postholder will work 8:30 to 3:30 Monday-Friday during Term Time, with 30 minutes lunch. However this working pattern is not contractual and may be subject to future change.
