The Talentum Learning Trust is a multi-academy trust (MAT) formed in April 2016 consisting of Leek High School, Churnet View Middle School and Westwood College.
Construction Technician @ Leek High School (fixed term to 17 July 2020)
Required from September 2019, 22 hours per week, term time only
This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking to develop a career passing on their construction skills to young people. We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic construction trade specialist to deliver this aspect of our alternative curriculum provision. Your strengths and experience to date will have been construction industry-based primarily specialising in brickwork with some knowledge of associated such trades such as plumbing or plastering. Experience of instructing trainees or apprentices would be an advantage but is not essential.
The post involves the instruction and supervision of small groups of 14-16 year old BTEC students from a range of local secondary schools. You will also be expected to carry out some technician duties within the Design Technology department.
You should hold a full UK driving licence and may be expected to transport students between schools.
