Creating Ambition and Inspiring Success

Deputy Headteacher Required

Salary, Leadership Scale Spine Points 6 – 12

£45213 - £52414 per annum

Start Date: September 2019 or January 2020

St George’s is situated close to Redditch Town Centre.  It is a friendly, caring church school with a positive, inclusive ethos and we are proud of our diverse community.  By learning together our children can live together in a spirit of harmony, tolerance and respect.

The School occupies a compact, modern building set in pleasant grounds.  Our number on roll is approximately 250, organised in 8 mixed-ability classes including a 26 place, Local Authority funded Nursery, which ensures a smooth transition when starting full time school.

Our pupils enjoy school and are eager to learn.  The governing body and staff are committed to providing a happy, safe and productive learning environment where children are encouraged to work hard to be the best they can be.

We are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher and inspirational leader.  This will be a superb opportunity for a leader who is passionate, enthusiastic and committed to improving the life chances of children and will suit both an experienced leader looking for an opportunity to broaden their experience and aspiring leaders looking for their first Deputy Head role.  Due to our imminent academy conversion to join Endeavour Schools Trust the opportunities for development, professional support and peer review are second to none and will challenge and inspire anyone at any stage of their career.

We are proud of our school, staff and pupils and their achievements and are delighted that you are interested in finding out more about us by visiting our website to learn more about our Deputy Headteacher vacancy.

Further details and an application form can be found on our website www.stgeorges.worcs.sch.uk

Visits to the school are actively encouraged and warmly welcomed.  Please contact Nicky Beech on 01527 62263

Closing date 29th April 2019

Interview date: 14th and 15th May

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and are an equal opportunities employer. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check
