An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Officer within the Strategic Commissioning Team following the promotion of the previous post holder.  The team is mainly responsible for developing outsourced adult social care services, managing performance, partnerships and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.  

Finding the right candidate to join our successful and experienced team is important to us.  We are not necessarily looking for someone who has worked within the adult social care or commissioning sector before but more importantly for someone with the right skills and values.  Applicants that have similar experience in other sectors with transferable skills and the right values are therefore welcomed to apply.

The main focus of this role will be to manage a portfolio of contracted providers. You will be an effective self-starter, have excellent analytical skills, be able to shape information into actions that support the design and delivery of services.  A keen examining and intelligence based approach to managing contracts as-well-as working collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders is essential.  Being a team player is a must as well as being an intuitive and lateral problem solver.

This role is based within a multi-disciplinary health and social care team based within Adult Social Care commissioning, which is part of the People Directorate.

The successful candidate will be based within our new One Friargate premises, very near to Coventry train station. The premises is a prestigious newly constructed office building housing a variety of services and is occupied by approximately 1,800 staff working in an agile manner (we’ll issue you with a laptop and mobile to enable this)
