We are looking for 2 Employment and Skills Officers to join our Outreach team and help local people move into Employment, Education or Training. These posts will specifically focus on supporting 15 – 29 year old NEETS (not in Employment, Education or Training) in, or close to Solihull Borough.

You will have:

  • Level 4 NVQ or above in Information, Advice and Guidance, Mentoring & Coaching and / or significant practical experience
  • Experience of engaging with young people and adults to provide appropriate advice and information about their future career and employment options
  • Knowledge of the local labour market and employment and training initiatives
  • Ability to provide practical employment support including help with CVs, applications, job searching and interview preparation

In return you will play a key role in changing the lives of young people by helping them to secure employment, apprenticeships or training. You will be working in a small friendly team, with the opportunity to work flexibly at various locations around the Borough meeting with your clients at local community venues.
