About the Role

Princefield First School is a successful, friendly and happy school, taking children aged 3 to 9 years old.  

The school is part of the Penk Valley Academy Trust along with 4 other schools based in the local area: St John’s (CE) First School, Marshbrook First School, Penkridge Middle School and Wolgarston High School. The vision of the Trust is to take collective responsibility for ensuring that every child and young person in our Trust receives an excellent education, achieves high outcomes and realises their potential. 

We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and well-motivated Primary Practitioners, with the desire to develop Music or RE to join us from September 2019. This post is entirely suitable for either an NQT or a more experienced teacher.

The successful applicant must:

  • have the ability to inspire and motivate all learners through well planned and exciting lessons
  • have high expectations of children, ensuring rigour and challenge for all groups including the most able, those with SEND and pupils in receipt of pupil premium
  • have a good working knowledge of the New Primary Curriculum and effective assessment for learning practices, including how marking and responding practices support this
  • be flexible and happy to work as part of a successful team
