Governors are seeking to appoint a Head of School for Langley Special School.

Langley is situated in Sutton Coldfield and caters for children with cognition and learning difficulties from Nursery to Year 6 with places for 120 pupils. Langley is part of a Federation with Beaufort Special School, with an Executive Headteacher and one Governing Board.

Langley is co-located in a purpose new build with a main stream primary school with whom they enjoy good working relationships. Langley is a foundation school with 6 main stream primary schools within the Four Oaks Learning Trust for Excellence (LTE).

The successful candidate will need to work with the Executive Headteacher to help maintain our current Ofsted outstanding judgement.

We are looking for a Head of School who:-

• Will be responsible for the day to day running of Langley Special School working in partnership with the Executive Headteacher.

• Will have wide experience of special needs in a leadership role.

• Will work with the Executive Headteacher and Governors to ensure the school’s vision is clearly understood.

• Will play a lead role in formulating the aims and objectives of the school under the overall direction of the Executive Headteacher.

• Will ensure the effective sharing of information whilst monitoring and improving agreed systems.

• Will be an excellent role model exemplifying a high standard of teaching and promoting high expectations for the school community.
