The Role

Fixed Term - 12 months initially (This contract will cease at the end of the stated period or when the substantive post holder returns or resigns, whichever is the earlier)

The hours of work will be term time only, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3.15pm

The post is Band F SCP 7-10 FTE salary is £19554 – £21166 pro rata for the number of hours/weeks worked.

We wish to appoint an experienced level 2 Teaching Assistant, to work within our reception class. This is a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave starting in June 2019.

You will be a caring, committed person who has experience of working with children within an educational setting.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will: 
• A good understanding of the needs of pupils 
• A proven track record of working successfully in close collaboration with others 
• Have a patient and creative approach 
• Knowledge and understanding of how children develop 
• A calm approach and the ability to engage and support the learning of all children 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to keep accurate, thorough records. 
• Is conscientious, hardworking and enthusiastic
