Job Details

 The DoLS team is currently looking for a Social Care Lead Officer, who is a qualified social worker with at least 3 year plus experience, in addition to having some experience in having managed and lead staff/team. A preference is for the successful applicant to have Best Interest Assessor qualification and some experience in undertaking Deprivation of Liberty Safeguard (DoLS) assessments.

Your role will be scrutinize completed assessments prior to authorising the DoLS application.  You will need to be able to work independently, managing a number of incoming assessments, working to tight timescales and organising the workload of the day.  Clear written and oral communication skills are a must – liaising with senior management, external partners and family/representatives.
