We are looking for a teacher to join our dynamic Science Faculty as we continue our journey to becoming an outstanding school. We are looking for Chemistry and Physics specialists if possible, but would be interested to talk to any qualified science teacher. This position would suit an experienced teacher with a track record of excellent student progress across Key Stage 3 and 4, or equally a newly qualified teacher who can demonstrate the potential to make a positive impact on students’ outcomes. We are seeking to appoint a teacher who:
- Has real enthusiasm for their subject and a commitment to teaching Science
- Teaches engaging and challenging lessons that promote students’ abilities to learn independently and to respond effectively to feedback
- Believes that Science has an important role to play in the development of students’ skills, knowledge and understanding
- Is able to contribute to the Science team and take an active part in curriculum planning and preparation
- Is able to instill in students a love of Science
- Recognises the value of learning beyond the classroom in enhancing the understanding and experience of the world in which we live
- Is keen to work in a school which is held in high esteem by its parents and who want further to extend this reputation for excellence
