This is a new exciting position that we hope will grow and develop with the successful candidate. It will suitable someone who can take the initiative and support the chair of the Multi Academy Trust Board and the chair of the Local Governing Body of our Oxford school.

It will suit someone who has excellent communication, organisational and personable skills. It is imperative the candidate will be able to work independently whilst at the same time forming effective relationships with trustees, governors and school teams. This post will work on a flexible basis so the successful candidate must be able to organise their own time and work to strict deadlines. A knowledge of multi academy trust and governing body procedures and previous experience in a similar role is essential.

The job role will be on a flexible basis working. Pay will be based on an annualised hours contract consisting of 180 hours over 39 weeks (an allowance for holiday pay will be provided). There is an expectation that hours drawn down from these annualised hours will differ week by week, any additional time beyond this will be paid through the necessary claim forms. The clerk will be required to attend the following meetings (majority based in Oxford)

 - Multi Academy Trust Board Meetings (evenings – approx. 4-6 per year)

- Finance and Estates Sub Committee Meetings (mornings – approx. 4-5 per year)

- Educational Standards and Performance Sub Committee (afternoons – approx. 3 – 6 per year)

- Oxford Local Governing Body Meetings (afternoons – normally 6 per year)

- Adhoc disciplinary and exclusions meetings (as and when)
