We are seeking an inspiring, talented and hardworking teacher to lead as 2nd in Department. We want to recruit a fantastic Design Technology teacher who can make a difference to the lives of our students and assist the Head of Department in the development and evaluation of the department improvement plan, including curriculum review and planning. You will be used to planning and delivering high quality lessons, with experience in delivering Design Technology with the ability to teach across the broad curriculum of Product Design, Food, Textiles, and Electronics to GCSE level. 

We are seeking to appoint a teacher who:

  • Has real enthusiasm for their subject and a commitment to teaching Design Technology
  • Teaches engaging and challenging lessons that promote students’ abilities to learn independently and to respond effectively to feedback
  • Believes that Design Technology has an important role to play in the development of students’ skills, knowledge and understanding
  • Is able to contribute to the Design Technology team and take an active part in curriculum planning and preparation
  • Is able to instill in students a love of Design Technology
  • Recognises the value of learning beyond the classroom in enhancing the understanding and experience of the world in which we live
  • Is keen to work in a school which is held in high esteem by its parents and who want further to extend this reputation for excellence
