Marketing Officer - Permanent

It is an exciting time to join Warwick District Council’s Arts Section!
The Arts Section is part of the wider Cultural Services team at Warwick District Council and operates several key cultural facilities in Royal Leamington Spa including the Royal Spa Centre which is the district's only professional theatre. A medium size receiving house, it delivers a programme of theatre, drama, comedy, film and community events in its 667-seat main house and 188-seat studio theatre/ cinema. The Royal Pump Rooms in Leamington is a cultural and tourist attraction with services including Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum. The Arts team are also responsible for Leamington Town Hall, which has a mixture of tenants and has hireable spaces for community events.
We are searching for an experienced, creative and knowledgeable individual to join the team in the role of Marketing Officer. Balancing your time equally between the Royal Pump Rooms and Royal Spa Centre, the Marketing Officer has a crucial role in communicating the messages of the Arts Service to our audiences and customers, through branding, digital and print promotion, press and direct marketing activity.
The responsibilities of the role include:
-Liaising regularly with visiting companies/artists/presenters regarding promotional activity for their events, collating the necessary information and publicity material and overseeing its distribution, ensuring that information is suitable, correct and all copyright permissions have been obtained.
-Organising all aspects of the venue’s publicity material, including commissioning and arranging the distribution of fliers, posters, advertisements, What’s On brochures, newsletters, etc.
-Maintaining appropriate social media activity such as Facebook and Twitter in order to engage with our audiences and promote our work.
-Scheduling, co-ordinating and implementing marketing campaigns including mailshots, the What’s On brochure mail out, and E-shots.
