Scale 6 (18-22) £13,477 – £15,083 - prior to obtaining SBM qualification

8:00am to 4:30pm Friday + 2 days (Flexible and to be discussed with successul candidate)
Term time plus one week

We are looking for someone who is looking for a challenge and an opportunity for career progression to School Business Manager. The successful candidate must be willing to complete training as part of the role, including the completion of the SBM qualification.
The new School Business Manager should be someone who is enthusiastic, hard working and is able to use their resourcefulness to develop what is already in place and introduce new initiatives, which will benefit the school. They will closely support the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team to continue to move the school forward.
We work in close partnership with children, families, governors and the wider community, to provide a school culture which values all its members as equal. Our aim is to provide a stimulating environment in which children can develop a lifelong love of learning.
The new School Business Manager will
- participate in the strategic management of the school and be responsible for the effective management of school resources
- oversee all aspects of the school’s administrative and financial systems and processes
- oversee the overall budget
- take a lead on managing the school office, site, buildings and health and safety
requirements including undertaking annual reviews
- provide guidance and support to administrators, premises and site staff
- line manage two administrators and the caretaker.
- promote the highest standard of business ethos within the within the administrative function of the school that strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the schools overall objectives.
- provide the Headteacher and school leadership team with personal assistance in the organisation of meetings including providing data analysis, benchmarking, and presentations and supporting documentation.
