Future Generation Trust is a small, growing Trust of 4 primary phase academies in Staffordshire.

It is committed to developing qualities and skills in pupils at all its academies that will enable them to have happy and successful adult lives. A clear focus upon enjoyment, participation and high achievement aims to create a strong foundation in pupils that will allow them to move forward with purpose and belief. The Trust plans to grow to 6 primary schools in the next 2 years.

It now has an exciting opportunity for an aspirational leader to become a Deputy Headteacher to advance the school improvement agendas and to build on the work already in place to enhance the outcomes and future prospects of our pupils.

St. John’s Primary Academy, Essington, is an Outstanding, Ofsted rated academy. It has 530 pupils and a flourishing pre-school Little Eagles enterprise which offers child care to 2 and 3 year old children. The successful applicant will be working alongside a newly appointed Headteacher. The candidate should be highly organised and a talented classroom practitioner with commitment to playing a full role in the life of the academy. The appointed individual will need to share our vision of providing pupils with a happy supportive culture in a stimulating environment that does not have an over reliance upon data.
