              (Permanent, Full time)

Ref    :  C188/0519

Scale:   PO6, £53,585 - £57,198

NCW has been re-shaping its future direction and needs dynamic leaders to bring this to life.  If you like driving change and exciting challenges then NCW is the place for you.

New College Worcester is a non-maintained residential school for blind and vision impaired young people, aged 11-19.  It is a unique and special place to work and learn, full of exceptional young people.  Most students follow the national curriculum and study at GCSE and A level.  A small number of students have additional needs.

At an important time for the College, we are seeking to appoint an outstanding leader to join our Senior Leadership Team.  The successful candidate will be passionate about the achievement of young people and committed to supporting them in reaching their aspirations.

This unique post provides the opportunity to work with students and staff both in the residential care setting and in the College day.  You will lead the strategy for residential care provision and work closely with pastoral leaders in the College.

As a leader, you will develop the College’s work on well-being, ensuring our students are in the best possible place to learn because their social, emotional and pastoral needs are being met.  You will have experience and expertise in the leadership of safeguarding and will have a successful track record in leading areas which promote an excellent state of wellbeing such as health, mental health, activities and attendance.  You will be skilled at inspiring, motivating and influencing staff.

NCW is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  This post is conditional on verified references, medical clearance and an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check and Registration.  NCW is an Equal Opportunities employer.
