Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is a forward thinking, transformational and innovative organisation. This was recognised nationally with the award for Emergency Service of the Year being made in December 2018 to Staffordshire.

During our LGA Peer Review conducted in March 2016 it was recognised that a particular strength of the Service is its empowering culture. The Peer Review Team explained “the approach of involving and trusting people has created a culture where people feel empowered and listened to, which enables them to act with freedom and confidence to deliver their business: this is reflected throughout the Service.” The Service has also been recognised as one of the Fire Sector’s vanguard services in relation to delivering public health outcomes.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service achieved Excellence under the Fire & Rescue Service Equality Framework. This award clearly demonstrates our commitment to our staff, to protect, support and respond to the needs of our communities and to subsequently make Staffordshire the safest place to be.

The successful candidate will work closely within the Director Team and be required to contribute to the strategic leadership of the Service as a Member of the Executive Leadership Team.
