Teacher Main Scale + 1 SEN with Whole School Responsibility

We are a school for primary aged children with complex needs including moderate learning difficulties. A significant number of our pupils are also on the autistic spectrum. We currently have 108 children on roll.

We place the child at the centre of what we offer, utilising individual EHC plans to structure our provision and support the holistic needs of our children. Working in partnership with families and other agencies is crucial to our success.

We work hard to ensure that all our children can learn in a positive environment. In line with the UN Convention of the Rights of a Child we have developed a set of rights that apply to both pupils and the adults working in our school.

At Woodsetton we all have the right to...

Our Communication

Communicate in our own way; taking time to listen and time to be heard.

Our Learning

Be the best we can be; achieving our full potential and allowing others to do the same.

Our Behaviour

Feel safe and protected; taking responsibility for our actions and showing awareness for others.

Our Friendship

Be different but still treated the same; showing respecting and understanding to others.

Our Community

Explore the environment around us; looking after our school and taking pride in the community.

The Governors of Woodsetton School are seeking to appoint two inspirational, dynamic, committed teachers to join our successful and dedicated school team from September 2019. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have experience in developing and leading (or have an interest in) a total communication approach.

A comprehensive package of training and support is offered by the school to ensure that everyone has the skills required to prepare our pupils for the next stage of their life.

Have you got the skills we are looking for to contribute towards our drive to deliver outstanding provision?

Location: Woodsetton School, Tipton Road, Dudley, DY3 1HY

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. Candidates are strongly advised to read the school’s Safeguarding policy on our website.

Informal visits to the school are recommended and warmly welcomed.  Visits will be held on: 1st May 2019 at 9.30am and 1.30pm

If you would like to book a visit please contact school office on 01384 818265

Closing Date for applications: 3rd May 2019

Interviews will be held on:  13th and 14th May 2019

NB.  We reserve the right to close vacancies before the advertised date if a large number of applications have been received.
