To provide a professional arboricultural service in respect of the maintenance of Council owned trees in both within and outside the District, and deliver the purpose by using their skills, training, vehicles, plant and equipment, to carry out all key tasks.

Ability to demonstrate relevant experience in practical arboriculture Ability to demonstrate experience in Quoting for external clients including domestic and commercial companies. Plan, implement and execute works for external clients.

Ability to motivate, work as part of a team and implement change. Developed communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. High levels of personal organisation, self motivation and initiative to achieve goals. Ability to carry out arboricultural tasks to a high professional level. Ability to use and maintain different types of equipment i.e. machinery, tools, trailers and vehicles. Negotiating skills. Ability to deal with conflict. Excellent interpersonal skills. Proven financial management in quotations for external clients including taking payments on site once work is completed.

37 hours (any 4 & 5 day working patterns apply from any 7 days) Special working arrangements for Bank Holidays and Christmas working applies
