The Revenues and Benefits Service is responsible for the billing and collection of Council Tax and Business Rates, and for assessing Housing Benefit Council Tax Support and Free School Meals for the citizens of Coventry

An opportunity has arisen within the Revenues and Benefits Service for a temporary Support and Control Officer. This post is expected to last for 12 months.

The successful candidate will join an established team that provides specialist support in relation to the IT systems used by the Revenues and Benefits Service and its customers. Ideally the successful candidate should have a knowledge Housing Benefits, Council Tax and non-domestic rates.

The role includes:

• System administration to ensure the smooth running of the applications used within the service
• Testing new releases and new functionality
• Identifying and resolving system faults / issues

We are looking for an organised self-motivated person who is a good communicator at all levels. You must have excellent IT skills and have the ability to problem solve, analyse complex data and be able to work under pressure to a high level of accuracy.

7th June                1:00 – 3:00 in room 5.2
