Deputy Headteacher

September 2019

School Group 3

ISR L10 – L14

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and committed Deputy Headteacher to join the Senior Leadership Team of Northfield Road Primary School at this exciting and pivotal time.

Following an inadequate Ofsted judgement in Autumn 2018, Stour Vale Academy Trust was appointed as the sponsoring trust for Northfield Road in February 2019. Stour Vale Academy Trust, the school’s Interim Executive Board and the Local Authority share a strong commitment to working together to support Northfield Road through the process of becoming a member of Stour Vale Academy Trust in June 2019. We are delighted to have recently appointed the Acting Headteacher as the new substantive Headteacher for Northfield Road.

The new Deputy Headteacher would take a lead role in supporting the Headteacher to raise standards of academic achievement, whilst developing a cohesive school community where children and staff flourish. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and effective school leader.

Closing Date: Thursday 9th May 2019.

Shortlisting will take place on the afternoon of 10th May 2019 with interviews scheduled for 17th May 2019.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Please contact the school office on 01384 818710 to arrange a time to visit.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure check by the disclosure and barring service.
