Director of Teaching and Learning – Technology TLR 2C

We are looking for a dynamic, outstanding teacher to become our Director of Teaching and Learning in Technology.  The faculty includes Information Technology; Product Design; Textiles and Food Technology.

Whilst we work hard for the benefit of our students, we also value and recognise the contributions of our staff.  You will be responsible for leading, managing, supporting and monitoring the work of the faculty to secure effective leadership and management and high standards of staff performance.

Ideally you will be experienced in teaching post 16 as the role will include teaching product design at GCSE and A level.  You will have a fascination in new developments and technologies as part of this opportunity will be to create a vision for enhancing the environment and hands-on experiences for students to learn how to learn.  It will also provide the chance to link with ambassadors from industry to inspire our students who aspire to pursue careers in IT, engineering or design.

As a cross curricular, popular subject, technology has a secure place in our curriculum with good outcomes at all levels.  We would welcome your new ideas, as you lead in Technology, to maintain and improve on provision, helping drive the faculty forward.
