This is a large and important portfolio to us, including environmental health, planning, regulation, growth and regeneration and the postholder will report directly to our Chief Executive.  We are specifically looking for a specialist in regeneration and growth, with an awareness of regulatory services.  To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong leadership ability and management capability.  We rely heavily on forging strong partnerships to deliver and draw in investment and you will need to be skilled and experienced at shaping and developing these, with clear examples of where you have collaborated successfully to drive growth.

As a senior leader in the Council you will need to build strong relationships with members, seeking to work with them and being comfortable at having honest conversations – at Tamworth we value straight talking and openness. 

This portfolio was previously led by our current Chief Executive and offers an excellent spring-board in your career – we are clear this role and the successful postholder are pivotal to our success and realising our ambition.
