Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery is seeking an Exhibition
Officer to join its team who are committed to bringing
enjoyment learning and inspiration to its users. The role
involves delivering the museum’s temporary exhibition
programme including the administration, marketing and
installation of around 20 temporary exhibitions a year as well
as maintaining the permanent displays. They will work with
the Learning and Engagement Manager to ensure informal
learning is at the heart of the exhibition programme. They will also work with the Curator to ensure that the museum collections
are cared for and made available to audiences. As part of the
broader team they will help plan and deliver an events and
activities programme, encourage sponsorship and maintain
levels of customer service and the accreditation standard
The postholder will be used to working with and to policy and
procedures. The job will involve the use of technical skills.
The post holder will show attention to detail and ensure their
work is of a high standard. They will have highly developed
communication skills. The Exhibition Officer works to
deadlines and will not only be highly organised but effective
at ensuring that artists, contractors, colleagues etc also meet
the demands of the museum’s programme.
