This is a rare opportunity to join our growing team, are you up for the challenge?

We have an opportunity for qualified Occupational Therapists and are looking for highly motivated people to join our teams.

We provide client centred assessments and interventions to support and promote independence, working with individuals across all age groups with a disability. The City has a growing population 370,000 and is culturally and ethnically diverse. The City is centrally located with extensive road and rail links, whilst being minutes away from the countryside.

We are a very busy service working closely with social work colleagues and health providers assessing the needs of individuals, establishing the required need and level of care and support, providing risk assessments, facilitating discharges, assessing for equipment, adaptations and major adaptations to maintain people's independence in their chosen environments.

If you are ready for the challenge you will need to have:

  • Advanced assessment skills
  • Detailed knowledge of the Care Act, Housing Regeneration Act, MHOR etc
  • Organisation, recording and workload management skills
  • To work in partnership with users, carers and colleagues
  • Team working skills, good listening and communication skills
  • IT skills
  • Autonomy and problem solving
  • Have a flexible approach
  • 2 years post qualified experience

You will be based at the Opal centre where we hold clinics and have a demonstration centre open to the public. We support our staff with training, individual and group supervision to enable learning. We have access to our own equipment services and are supported by our in-house housing improvement officers to provide disabled facilities grant applications.
