Job Details
Hereward is an exciting and innovative College with a reputation for high-quality provision that is responsive to the needs of our students. Based in Coventry, we specialise in providing excellent education and support to students with diverse and complex needs.
As Admissions and Student Services Manager, you will lead the College’s student recruitment and admissions functions. Your role will be to grow student numbers and build strong relationships with local authorities, feeder schools and potential students. You will demonstrate a sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and the EHCP process. You will also work closely with the Marketing Department to exploit marketing communications, social media and PR opportunities.
You will lead an efficient admissions service and will schedule interviews and collate applicant information. You will play a vital role in identifying students who require further transition work and will work with curriculum teams to plan coherent transition programmes for these students. You will also capture and analyse student destination data.
You will provide outstanding leadership to the student services function, which encompasses a busy reception area and a range of student support services, from bursaries and visas to student induction.
To apply, you should have a proactive, positive approach to work and have led, motivated, coached and developed others to achieve outstanding results. You should hold a sound track record of significant impact upon student services, including recruitment within the FE/Specialist Education sector and a sound understanding of the funding framework for FE and specialist colleges. You’ll need to be a team worker, with superb communication, organisational and time management skills.
