Stratford-on-Avon District lies at the heart of England and the main town of Stratford-upon-Avon is famous the world over (thanks to William Shakespeare!) attracting over 3 million visitors a year. Beyond the main town are around 250 communities spread across the predominantly rural District.
We are looking for two enthusiastic and experienced town planners to join our busy and expanding Policy Team. The successful candidates will help with continuing delivery of Local and Neighbourhood Development Plans across the District. If you are interested in working with us to help meet the challenges that the diversity of the District brings then this could be the job for you. Knowledge and experience of plan-making will be essential.
To be successful in this post, you will need initiative and good communication skills to be able to liaise with a variety of partners and stakeholders to provide advice and guidance on a wide range of planning and plan-making matters. The role will also involve undertaking survey work, research and monitoring for national, regional and local planning purposes.
For an informal discussion about this role, please contact Jo Bozdoganli (Development Planning and Policy Team Leader) on 01789 260473 or email joanne.bozdoganli@stratford-dc.gov.uk or alternatively Matthew Neal (Policy Planner) on 01789 260320 or email matthew.neal@stratford-dc.gov.uk .
