Stratford-on-Avon District lies at the heart of England and the main town of Stratford-upon-Avon is famous the world over (thanks to William Shakespeare!) attracting over 3 million visitors a year. Beyond the main town are around 250 communities spread across the predominantly rural District.
We are looking for someone with an enthusiasm and interest in local planning matters who would like to join our busy and expanding Policy Team. The successful candidate will assist the team in the preparation of Local and Neighbourhood Development Plans and respond to a variety of requests for advice and information on planning and plan-making matters.
If you are interested in working with us to help meet the challenges that the diversity of the District brings then this could be the job for you. Providing technical support across the Policy Team will be a key element of the post, as will the ability to work in a team and also on your own initiative to meet agreed deadlines.
The role will also involve undertaking monitoring and research for national, regional and local planning purposes including the production of the Authority’s Monitoring Report (AMR).
For an informal discussion about this role, please contact Jo Bozdoganli (Development Planning and Policy Team Leader) on 01789 260473 or email joanne.bozdoganli@stratford-dc.gov.uk or alternatively Matthew Neal (Policy Planner) on 01789 260320 or email matthew.neal@stratford-dc.gov.uk .
