Clerical Assistant– Grade 4

(1 Permanent Part Time Position 20-25 hours/week flexible working)

Salary: £18426 to £19171 (pro-rata)  per annum

We are seeking an inspiring, professional and motivated clerical assistant who is used to working both independently and co-operatively to deadlines and in an environment where situations may be emotionally challenging. Working under the direction of the Business Manager, the post involves providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership team and Governors.

Located near Burntwood in Staffordshire, Chasetown Community School is a 7-13 middle school providing a broad and balanced curriculum for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.

Starting in June 2019 you will bring proven experience of:

  • General clerical and administrative work and data handling with excellent organisational skills 
  • Proven experience using sims, word, excel and powerpoint is essential
  • The ability to work under pressure both collaboratively and independently to develop systems that will support the work of the senior leadership team and Governing Body at CCS. 
  • Working in environments where situations may be emotionally challenging, especially working with young people with social, emotional and mental health needs and their families
  • A good knowledge of SEND and safeguarding legislation and EHCP’s would be useful

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to the next stage of the selection process which will involve:

  • Short administration task 15 minutes
  • A five minute presentation on what you see are the essential elements of this post
  • A values and beliefs interview lasting about 20 minutes
  • a technical interview about your skills to do the job lasting 20 minutes
