Kenilworth Multi Academy Trust has a vacancy for a Bursar due to an expanding finance remit, with immediate effect. The vacancy is based at Kenilworth School and Sixth Form at Leyes Lane.

Kenilworth School and Sixth Form is rated as Outstanding by Ofsted (2013) and as the only secondary school in the community of Kenilworth, is oversubscribed.

We are currently a split site, with Years 7 – 11 based at Leyes Lane and Sixth Form set on our Rouncil Lane site. This is an exciting time to join us as a new build project is in the planning stage with the new school to move to one site in September 2021.

The post holder will report to the School Business Manager and join a friendly and supportive team.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm (can be flexible for the right candidate).

Typical duties will include:

  • Processing orders and invoices 
  • Booking courses for staff 
  • Reconciling financial statements 
  • Banking procedures 
  • Liaison with all levels of staff across the school

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Experience of using SIMS Finance is advantageous, but training can be given 
  • IT literate with a good level of skills in Excel and Word 
  • Sound knowledge and experience of working within finance is essential 
  • Multi-tasking skills 
  • Handle data accurately, with an attention to detail 
  • Able to work using own initiative and as part of a team 
  • Able to work under pressure
