Primary Assistant Headteacher (SENCO) – Permanent

Based at the ‘Little Bridge’ site in Rugeley, Staffordshire, WS15 2PD

Salary:  Leadership L6-L10 (£45,213-£49,937)

We are currently seeking a dynamic Primary Assistant Headteacher at this rapidly developing PRU. The Assistant Headteacher will provide daily operational leadership of the Primary Centre under the guidance of the Executive Headteacher. The Primary PRU caters for students from Key Stages 1-2 who have either been permanently excluded from school or attend on short dual roll programmes who are presenting challenging behaviour in their mainstream settings. Applicants will require excellent skills in behaviour management and the ability to support a broad based curriculum at both Key Stages.

Successful applicants will be expected to teach across a range of subject areas and have a commitment to raising the self-esteem and achievement levels of vulnerable students. The Assistant Headteacher will lead a team of teaching and support staff and will be part of the wider Senior Leadership team at the Bridge Centre.  A flexible approach is essential as is the desire to make a difference to the outcomes for vulnerable young people.  We would welcome applications from candidates with mainstream or special experience.

    This position is subject to enhanced DBS clearance.
