This post is based within the Economy & Environment Directorate and is part funded by the Black Country Impact Programme.

Full Time | Fixed Term until 31st July 2021

Now is an exciting time to join Walsall Council.  We are driven by the work we do and the difference that we make to the communities and young people we support.

What really sets us apart is how we work; our staff have a true passion for what they do.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated officer to join and support the Programme Management Team with the successful implementation of a number of exciting Walsall and Black Country wide programmes and projects.

The post will undertake a wide range of activities including taking shared responsibility for the management of the Black Country Impact Programme for Walsall delivery and playing a key role in supporting the development of partnerships and projects with External and Internal Partners that add value to other projects being delivered.

You should be an experienced project manager, hold an understanding of European Social Funding and be able to build and develop strong partnerships and networks with a wide range of stakeholders.

The post holder must have ability to manage both a demanding workload and funding requirements. If you are an excellent administrator with exceptional attention to detail and are resourceful, resilient and highly motivated we would welcome your application.

This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.

For an informal discussion about the post, or for any queries, please contact Claire Wills on 01922 654322.

Interviews will be held on 6th June 2019

*Please note this role is part funded by the European Social Fund Programme 2014-2020. 40% of time will be spent of ESF activity.
