Learning & Development Officer

37 Hours per week – Fixed Term Maternity leave cover to end January 2020 as a secondment of fixed term contract

It’s an exciting time for learning and development at Staffordshire County Council.  Our new People Strategy has a strong focus on ensuring we have a skilled workforce who are ready for today’s role and future opportunities.  Smart (agile) working is changing the way people work, bringing more opportunities for blended and digital learning.  And we’re gearing up to commission our new learning and development offer, working in a way that supports a change in how people think about and access learning, with a focus on driving increased personal accountability together with an infrastructure that enables growth and progression.

We’re recruiting for a Learning & Development Officer to cover maternity leave.  This is a key role in the team, responsible for ensuring the co-ordination and day to day management of learning & development activities, as well as supporting cross-organisational projects and programmes to deliver our People Strategy.

You’ll have strong relational and organisational skills, will be able to work collaboratively across a matrix team, with providers, customers and key stakeholders to ensure a seamless service and learning offer to our workforce.  If you have some background in L&D and will want to develop this further, then this is the role for you.
