KS2 Teacher and Maths coordinator

The Governing Body of Sir Alexander Fleming Primary school is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teacher. The successful candidate will join our team and work effectively with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team by taking the lead on teaching and learning to further drive our school improvement.
We are looking for a KS2 Teacher and maths coordinator who will:
• Exemplify good practice in maths teaching in your own class (KS2)
• Communicate enthusiasm for maths to both children, staff and parents
• Lead workshops for parents
• Work collaboratively with colleagues
• Monitor and support other teachers in becoming excellent maths practitioners
• Assist in leading training for teaching assistants to develop their expertise in delivering maths interventions and supporting class teachers
• Lead whole school development of the maths curriculum
• Gain a thorough knowledge of whole school data for maths
• Report to others (governors, SIP etc.) on analysis of whole school maths data
• Act on school data trends by offering guidance and support when necessary
• Ensure that you keep up to date with developments in teaching and learning
