Payments & HR Assistant - Apprentice
Based at the Town Hall in Burton upon Trent, easily accessible by bus or train, and free car parking on site. We are a small and friendly team providing an internal service to the Council, of payment of Creditors, payroll and HR support.
This is a brilliant opportunity to start your career in Payments and get a good experience in administration work, alongside the opportunity to gain the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) or Business Administration level 2 qualification.

Duties: This is a varied administration role, predominately supporting processing creditor payments, some payroll, and HR recruitment support. You will have the opportunity to gain experience across these three functions and expand your knowledge in whichever area is of particular interest to you.
This role is initially for the duration of 12 months - 14 months to allow for completion of a qualification.
Ideally you will have achieved, or be aspiring to achieve, 4 good GCSE’s including Maths and English.
