The Role
We welcome applications from experienced Key Stage 2 teachers for the position of class teacher phase leader at Water Orton Primary School. Water Orton Primary is an exciting place to work. With a brand new, modern and purpose built school building due to open in September 2019, the latest technology including Clever Touch interactive teaching screens, a legacy of sporting success and strong supportive links with other local primary schools, we can offer the right candidate the opportunity to be part of our journey.
This advertisement is further to the recent advertisement for maths lead at Water Orton Primary. We are able to offer the opportunity to include candidates for the role of team leader in one of our KS2 phase groups. A TLR2 is available for the post of team leader. Applicants who have already applied for the maths lead role should indicate at interview that they are interested in being considered for the phase lead role.
Key Requirements
We are, first and foremost, looking for a committed teacher who can offer an outstanding learning experience and who can quickly and confidently establish positive relationships with our delightful and hard-working children and the staff team.
We are seeking to appoint a leader who is flexible, hardworking and willing to embrace changes and new challenges. The post holder will work with the wider Leadership Team to continue to rapidly raise standards of teaching, attainment and progress in a KS2 phase. The post holder will have responsibility for planning and preparing for end of KS2 assessments and for monitoring standards. The role will include coaching and mentoring for other teachers. The successful candidate will also be expected to take on a subject leadership role and to participate in review of the school curriculum. Knowledge and skills in PE or computing would be beneficial to the school, but if the person does not have these backgrounds, they should at least be able to demonstrate adaptability and an ability to apply existing leadership skills.
